
Field Engineer 1 – Imaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hawaii.
• Conduct timely and precise preventative maintenance on equipment across one or more imaging modalities.
• Adhere to Field Modification Instructions and Instrument Service Information bulletins.
• Collaborate with seasoned Field Engineers to acquire troubleshooting, repair, and equipment installation skills.
• Assist in the installation of equipment.
• Execute basic troubleshooting and service repairs on assigned equipment.
• Communicate effectively with team members, colleagues, and customers to ensure resolution of issues and follow-up.
• Suggest value-added services to clients.
• Maintain logs of customer service and internal service records.
• Order repair parts and oversee cycle times.
• Utilize the GEHC escalation process and coordinate with regional and national support on corrective action strategies.
• Act as a member of the account community for key accounts.
• Engage with commercial counterparts, identify sales leads, participate in contract renewals, and support revenue initiatives.
• Develop and strengthen customer relationships.
• Monitor competitor information and market trends.
• Independently respond to service calls without assistance within one year of employment.
• Complete scheduled Quality, EHS, and Compliance activities.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; OR equivalent military education; OR completion of the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program.
• High School Diploma/GED along with 4 or more years of experience servicing electronic equipment as an alternative qualification.
• Proficiency with web applications and Microsoft Suite products.
• Successful completion of GEHC's standard background check, including a post-offer drug test.
• Adherence to customer access policies, which may include required immunizations and potential additional drug tests or background checks.
• Capacity to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, and stand for extended periods.
• Capability to reach at, above, and below shoulder level; flex/extend neck; and exhibit good hand and finger dexterity.
• Required color, close, distance, peripheral, and depth vision as applicable.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Willingness to work after hours or on a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends, as required.
• Compliance with GEHC quality, EHS, compliance, legal, and regulatory standards.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
