Field Claims Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Investigate and compile facts, assess policy coverage, evaluate loss amounts, and analyze legal liabilities.

• Manage multi-line property claims within a designated territory, focusing primarily on property claims.

• Review insurance policies, endorsements, and forms to gain a thorough understanding of coverage options.

• Strive for claim resolution and participate in arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as required.

• Ensure timely and accurate issuance of claims payments.

• Conduct investigations via phone, mail, and in-person visits.

• Provide assistance to agents, insured parties, and others to guarantee accurate and timely claim resolutions.

• Manage insurance claims in the field throughout the claim lifecycle, including investigation, evaluation, and resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in handling property and casualty claims.

• At least 3 years of experience managing multi-line property claims, with a focus on property claims.

• Field claims handling experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with Xactimate software is preferred but not required.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to resolve complex issues effectively.

• Capability to organize and interpret data efficiently.

• Proficient in managing multiple assignments simultaneously.

• Aptitude for effectively interacting with a diverse range of individuals.

• Competent in accurately solving mathematical problems, including geometry (area and volume) and financial calculations.

• Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.

• Driving record consistent with the company’s underwriting standards for coverage.

• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
