This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Tailor program components to address the needs of designated prescribing physicians
• Assess patient conditions and assist physicians with patient enrollment and insurance documentation
• Recognize coverage challenges and relay them to the Program Manager
• Cultivate relationships with physicians and office personnel while offering office support
• Provide assistance in resolving issues for assigned physicians
• Educate physicians and clinics on programs and approved initiatives
• Serve as a liaison with physicians and convey feedback to the Program Manager
• Complete necessary program reports, expense accounts, timesheets, mileage logs, and other required documentation
• Greet patients and gather necessary information
• Offer reimbursement guidance and facilitate both private and public coverage activities
• Organize and monitor patient services to enhance swift therapy access
• Guide patients through financial aid options
• Assist with pharmacy selection and coordinate medication delivery
• Support therapy coordination and track the ongoing status of therapies
• Refer clinical inquiries outside of program materials to healthcare practitioners
• Report Adverse Events and Severe Adverse Events in accordance with standard operational procedures
• Contribute to the training and development of new Field Case Managers
• Provide support to colleagues through regular communication
• Maintain connections with the Patient Support Program team
• Participate in physician meetings alongside the Pharmaceutical team
• Attend Continuous Medical Education events and report on new activities
• Deliver in-service presentations to physicians in collaboration with Pharmaceutical Representatives
• Maintain ongoing communication with the Program Manager, physicians, office staff, client representatives, patients, and nursing teams
• Perform additional assigned duties and tasks; may need to be available for standby or on-call duties
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or a related field, or a nursing diploma
• At least five years of experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, insurance, or a related sector
• Active Licensed Nurse (RN or RPN/LPN) registration from the College of Nurses in the province of employment
• Preferred case management experience
• Minimum of three years’ nursing experience in a clinic environment is advantageous
• Willingness to travel within an assigned territory; some overnight travel may be necessary
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation for regional travel
• Familiarity with various therapeutic areas is beneficial
• Background in business administration, pharmaceutical sales, or marketing is a plus
• Understanding of private and public reimbursement structures, systems, and processes
• Experience with reimbursement navigation, special authorization, appeals procedures, and field-based reimbursement support and consultation
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret regulations and legislation
• Proficiency in both French and English is required
• Availability for daily interactions with unilingual English-speaking customers, patients, or cross-functional peers
