Field Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual and/or in-person audits independently on assigned policyholder accounts.

• Achieve a minimum of 420 interim and/or final audits on policyholder accounts annually.

• Organize and oversee a designated geographic area of policyholder accounts.

• Schedule and perform audits either virtually or at a location specified by the policyholder.

• Complete interim audits within 90 days of policy initiation and final audits within 60 days of policy expiration.

• Review accounting, payroll, tax, job descriptions, and contractor insurance documentation.

• Investigate and verify policy classifications, officer inclusions/exclusions, subcontractors, and related information.

• Create detailed and precise descriptions of policyholder operations.

• Generate audit reports that present analyzed data, calculations, and classifications.

• Coordinate with the home office to routinely retrieve completed audits.

• Travel regularly for physical audits, which may include overnight stays.

• Promote the AMERISAFE culture through consistency, focus, frugality, ownership, and service.

• Previous experience in a similar auditing role, accounting, or workers' compensation is preferred.

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with the capability to make decisions or recommendations.

• Exceptional customer service skills.

• High level of self-motivation and the ability to work independently both from home and in the field.

• Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record and reliable transportation.

• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the designated territory.

• Ability to travel frequently for physical audits, including some overnight travel.

• Must pass pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and a 10-panel drug test; motor vehicle report review if necessary.
