Field Applications Scientist – Sales RoW

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Deliver field-based scientific and application support to help ONI and its partners secure commercial opportunities in China and other designated RoW markets.

• Assist in distributor-led customer meetings and technical explorations.

• Execute demonstrations, evaluations, workshops, and scientific presentations.

• Train and empower distributor application teams to effectively position and support ONI workflows.

• Ensure the accuracy of technical claims, application positioning, and customer expectations.

• Facilitate opportunity advancement through technical evaluations and competitive differentiation.

• Identify scientific objections, technical risks, and requirements that may influence deal progression.

• Collaborate with Sales and partners to formulate technical close plans for key opportunities.

• Support strategic conferences, workshops, and market development initiatives.

• Gather market, application, competitive, and customer insights for ONI teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced scientific degree or comparable application experience.

• Proficiency in microscopy or relevant life-science workflows.

• Strong preference for customer-facing field applications experience.

• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English for effective communication.

• Capability to train and persuade distributor technical teams.

• Willingness to travel extensively within China and regionally.
