This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +2 more states.
• Accountable for collaborating with OEM engineers, Manufacturer's Representatives, Distribution Partners, and Territory Sales Managers to execute Laird solutions.
• Frequently participate in customer meetings and offer technical design assistance.
• Apply Laird and Qnity products and materials to address customer challenges.
• Deliver design solutions to customers, leveraging modeling and simulation during presentations.
• Facilitate customer interactions, prototyping, and initial production builds to adhere to stakeholder timelines.
• Create and release final production documentation.
• Oversee and guide a project through a product development design team.
• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• 6-10 years of experience in a comparable role.
• 3-5 years of experience in design at the component or subsystem level.
• 3-5 years of experience in thermal management, EMI management, or microwave absorbers.
• Proficient in solid modeling software, such as Solidworks, and/or mechanical, thermal, electrical, or multiphysics software.
• Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis or Finite Difference numerical modeling techniques.
• Strong communication skills with a proven ability to present to audiences of varying sizes.
• Experience in thermal, electromagnetic, mechanical, or electrical design is essential.
• Background in proactively engaging customers, organizing intercompany meetings, and sustaining business relationships across commercial and technical functions.
