Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and nurture technical relationships with targeted accounts.

• Assist in securing new Client and Server opportunities by collaborating with partners and end customers to create technical solutions utilizing AMD technology.

• Collaborate with AMD internal teams across the Client and Server Business Units to develop and deliver impactful technical presentations and documentation.

• Support key pipeline opportunities by working closely with partners and end customers to optimize workloads and applications on AMD-based solutions.

• Present technical information, training, and sales pitches to drive new AMD sales with partners and customers.

• Offer technical support to NA sales teams and end customers during the evaluation, design, and development of AMD-based Client and Server solutions.

• Cultivate business and technical knowledge to enhance AMD's "Mindshare" within the customer base.

• Technically assess and prioritize sales opportunities using AMD resources.

• Build and maintain relationships with partner and customer technical teams.

• Collaborate with sales to identify potential applications of AMD-based products and solutions to fulfill customer requirements.

• Conduct technical presentations, training sessions, and updates for partners and prospects.

• Transform partner and customer business challenges and requirements into solutions by creating opportunities that effectively leverage AMD product offerings.

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and effectively communicate the technical differentiation and value proposition of AMD relative to its competitors.

• Assist in the development of solutions and architectural designs tailored to meet specific customer needs.

• Analyze AMD product solutions and assess product performance based on customer requirements.

• Stay informed about relevant competitive solutions and collaborate with internal teams to deliver competitive responses as needed.

• Clearly communicate AMD technology offerings across various verticals.

• Install and test solutions, as necessary, to ensure successful deployments and evaluations.

• Provide hands-on, expert-level technical support to partners and end customers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in advanced computing, CPU systems architecture, and AI platforms.

• Experience in architecting, provisioning, and deploying applications in both public and private cloud environments.

• Strong comprehension of AMD CPU Ryzen & EPYC architecture and associated software ecosystems.

• Proficiency in configuring physical server systems and cloud infrastructure.

• Strong skills in performance tuning for Windows & Linux environments.

• Experience in infrastructure cost optimization (identifying strategies for IT cost reduction).

• Proven ability to manage relationships with customer representatives and create technical product documentation.

• Exceptional communication skills tailored for both technical and executive audiences.

• Comprehensive technical understanding of AMD Client & Server platform architecture.

• Knowledge of microprocessor architecture and commercial ecosystem environments, including operating systems (Windows/Linux), compilers, drivers, benchmarks, and targeted applications for validating Client and Server platforms.

• Excellent problem-solving, time-management, prioritization, organizational, and collaborative skills, with a strong track record in CPU and server system architecture.

• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
