Field Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical liaison among customers, our partner companies, and our internal sales team.

• Collaborate closely with the customer's development department, the local Field Sales team, and both internal and external Arrow resources.

• Build and nurture sustainable relationships within the development departments of our customers, engaging with stakeholders from CTOs to R&D Engineers.

• Identify new development projects with our customers and support them from the product concept stage to mass production.

• Guide the technical direction and priorities of customer projects in alignment with ARROW's strategy, supplier portfolio, and current market conditions.

• Create optimal technical-commercial system solutions tailored for our customers.

• Drive business growth by conducting targeted project work with strategically defined customers.

• Provide on-site technical consultation and support to customers regarding the design and selection of system components, focusing on semiconductors for industrial applications, including embedded and HMI systems along with software elements.

• Act as an advisory resource for our field sales team on technical matters.

• Prepare and present training sessions, conduct technical meetings with customers and suppliers, and provide internal training for the local Field Sales team as required.


⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in Electrical Engineering or Telecommunications, or a comparable qualification, accompanied by at least 5 years of professional experience.

• Experience as a technical point of contact; development experience in electronics, hardware, or firmware is a plus.

• Familiarity with selecting and applying microprocessors, processors, and FPGAs for industrial electronics is preferred.

• Strong negotiation skills along with excellent communication and persuasion abilities.

• Comprehension of customer system architecture.

• Strong teamwork capabilities paired with high self-motivation.

• A robust sales and customer orientation with an eye for potential and innovation.

• Experience in utilizing AI-based systems to enhance efficiency in solution development and data analysis.

• Willingness to travel within Austria.

• Proficiency in German and English at a business or negotiation level.
