This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +2 more states.
• Handles initial and reappointment assignments for hospitals, surgical centers, and designated divisions.
• Conducts internal credentialing for all relevant USAP clinicians, as assigned.
• Maintains a comprehensive file of provider licensure and credentials.
• Tracks license renewals and sends copies to facilities upon receipt of renewals.
• Updates and maintains the credentialing database, including demographic and licensure details.
• Updates and maintains records of continuing medical education, ACLS credits, and other training requirements.
• Keeps curriculum vitae and profiles for each provider current.
• Manages correspondence and credentialing archival files.
• Performs additional credentialing tasks as needed.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures.
• Undertakes other duties as assigned.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• An AS or B.S. degree in business administration or a healthcare-related field is advantageous.
• 2-3 years of experience in credentialing is preferred.
• Familiarity with the organization’s policies, procedures, and systems is essential.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, MS Excel, database management, and scanning applications.
• Understanding of NCQA and/or Joint Commission Accreditation standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations regarding Confidentiality and Peer Review Guidelines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, physicians, and external customers.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong public communication skills.
• Eligible for a quarterly bonus.
