This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Process and extract topographic and feature data from LiDAR and point cloud datasets (MTLS, UAV, TLS, and bathymetric).
• Utilize MicroStation and TopoDOT to create precise existing conditions, surfaces, and models.
• Interpret and convert raw geospatial data into actionable engineering and survey deliverables.
• Produce topographic maps, 3D models, and digital surfaces from the extracted data.
• Assist in the integration of bathymetric and terrestrial datasets for comprehensive modeling.
• Maintain organized file structures and comply with client and company CAD standards.
• Ensure all extracted data aligns with project specifications and accuracy criteria.
• Adhere to established workflows, naming conventions, and CAD standards.
• Review deliverables for completeness, consistency, and quality assurance.
• Stay informed about advancements in LiDAR, UAV mapping, and data processing technologies.
• Collaborate closely with surveyors, engineers, and senior technicians to ensure accurate field data representation.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining a strong focus on deadlines.
• Communicate proactively with team members regarding data requirements, challenges, or clarifications.
• Continue to enhance skills in point cloud processing, 3D modeling, and geospatial technologies.
• Potential involvement in field data collection operations.
• Gain exposure to advanced surveying technologies and workflows.
• Progress into higher-level responsibilities such as data management and project coordination.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate’s degree or technical certification in CAD, surveying, geomatics, or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in surveying, LiDAR, or geospatial data processing is highly desirable.
• Experience in 3D modeling or professional gaming is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MicroStation is required.
• Familiarity with TopoDOT or other point cloud processing software is preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or similar platforms is a plus.
• Understanding of surveying principles, topographic mapping, and coordinate systems.
• Experience working with LiDAR, UAV, TLS, or bathymetric data is highly desirable.
