This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Singapore.
• Execute the One Conservancy Public Funding Strategy throughout the Asia Pacific region.
• Identify and evaluate public funding opportunities within Asia Pacific.
• Focus on public sector engagement to optimize funding results.
• Assist TNC Business Units in securing prioritized public funding via competitive proposal calls and collaborative project development.
• Ensure alignment of regional initiatives with the global strategy and coordinate engagement with key public donors.
• Facilitate the co-creation of projects alongside governments and bilateral and multilateral donors.
• Monitor public fundraising efforts and prepare reports and recommendations for both global and regional leadership.
• Cultivate and enhance relationships with targeted public sector entities and representatives in Asia Pacific.
• Document strategic and coordinated engagement approaches that adhere to TNC standards.
• Raise internal awareness and promote the use of BBCRM, the HUB, and the Public Funding Knowledge Bank.
• Oversee and enhance capacity-building materials, while conducting training sessions and mentoring.
• Offer subject matter expertise on logical frameworks, project risks, governance, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Strengthen staff capabilities in managing public-sector relationships, navigating donor systems, and creating viable project designs.
• Support teams in the design, documentation, packaging, and submission of projects to public donors.
• Facilitate cross-functional proposal development and internal approval processes.
• Build and sustain institutional knowledge concerning priority public donors in Asia Pacific.
• Monitor donor priorities, processes, and engagement strategies.
• Provide guidance on public sector entities to prioritize for engagement.
• Bachelor's degree in political science, environmental policy, international development, management, or a related field, along with 5 years of government relations or corporate sector experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience in analytical and project management roles.
• Proven ability to develop and execute complex projects in unstructured environments.
• Experience in leading, directing, and managing multiple projects while achieving strategic program objectives.
• Established communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated negotiation abilities.
• Background working with governments, public sector entities, or multilateral institutions.
• Experience in supporting external partner relationships, proposal development, and/or donor-funded projects.
• Familiarity with theories of change, logical frameworks, result chains, and relevant methodologies.
• Experience working in the Asia Pacific region.
• Knowledge of public funding mechanisms and agencies, as well as current and emerging trends in public funding.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and management capabilities.
• Experience coordinating with individuals from diverse locations and cultures.
• Successful completion of The Nature Conservancy’s background screening process.
