Experienced Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Operate remotely from South Africa or Zimbabwe for a small to mid-sized Australian accounting firm

• Engage in Australian external audit assignments

• Audit and document both basic and complex audit sections

• Collaborate with the audit team of the host firm

• Work across General and Commercial sectors, as well as Not-for-Profit organizations

• Maintain around 4 hours of overlap with the host firm, based on client needs

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• A minimum of 4 years of external audit experience, or 3 years along with an international secondment after completing articles

• Completion of audit training or articles

• Prior experience in a public accounting or external audit firm

• Recent external audit experience, with no more than one year away from auditing

• Hands-on experience with CaseWare (essential)

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Experience in auditing and documenting both basic and complex audit sections

• Legal authorization to work in the country of residence

• Reliable internet access with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and upload speeds, latency not exceeding 30ms, and resilience during power outages

• Familiarity with DataSnipper is a plus
