Expense Report Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Review expense reports, corporate card transactions, travel expenditures, and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to regulations.

• Consistently apply written policies, procedures, contractual obligations, and relevant guidelines during expense reviews.

• Identify and rectify discrepancies, duplicates, unsupported or unusual expenses, missing documentation, mathematical inaccuracies, and noncompliant expenses.

• Investigate any unusual or questionable transactions and determine the appropriate resolution.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, Federal Acquisition Regulation standards, contract stipulations, and government cost principles.

• Maintain accurate records of reviews, findings, corrections, and supporting documentation.

• Uphold confidentiality when managing financial, employee, contractual, and company information.

• Achieve set productivity, accuracy, and turnaround-time goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, expense analysis, accounts payable, financial analysis, or a related field.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.

• Ability to assess information, identify inconsistencies, and draw logical conclusions.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the creation and editing of formulas, spreadsheet manipulation, sorting, and filtering.

• Ability to understand and accurately apply detailed written and verbal policies and guidelines to individual transactions.

• Exceptional attention to detail and precision.

• Strong problem-solving and investigative abilities.

• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment within established guidelines.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.

• This position is not open to Corp-to-Corp or third-party sourcing.
