This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Take ownership of the enterprise growth strategy across all Bodwé companies, markets, and service lines.
• Participate as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, providing counsel to the COO regarding direction, investment, and risk management.
• Advocate for a cohesive “One Bodwé” approach to market engagement.
• Advance Bodwé’s long-term strategy while representing the interests of the Pokagon Band in market decisions, partner selections, and client commitments.
• Oversee the development of market and client strategies, coaching market leaders on planning and execution.
• Direct enterprise client development across key accounts, agency relationships, tribal partners, primes, and teaming partners.
• Lead diversification strategies across clients, markets, and contract vehicles.
• Facilitate strategic partnerships across the enterprise.
• Ensure a qualified pipeline aligned with budgets, staffing plans, and operational capacity.
• Manage bid/no-bid governance and maintain a standardized, stage-gated capture process.
• Propel the conversion of IDIQs, MATOCs, GSA schedules, and other contract vehicles into funded task orders.
• Personally spearhead critical enterprise pursuits, including sole-source 8(a), tribal, and joint venture opportunities.
• Oversee the proposal function for both A/E and non-A/E pursuits.
• Develop proposal infrastructure that includes past performance, resumes, project data, SF 330 content, pricing coordination, and win/loss reviews.
• Direct enterprise marketing, branding, and external communications focused on pipeline and capture outcomes.
• Ensure a disciplined transfer of awarded work to Delivery.
• Establish decision-making authority across Growth, market leaders, operating company leaders, and Delivery.
• Build and coach the Growth team, ensuring accountability and succession planning.
• Manage the Growth budget and demonstrate returns on growth investments.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction, business, marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in growth, business development, and capture leadership within professional services.
• Minimum of 7 years leading a multi-disciplinary growth team with direct reports at the director level.
• Proven track record of owning enterprise-level growth targets, resulting in measurable improvements in capture rates and forecast accuracy.
• Extensive knowledge of federal contracting, including FAR-based procurement, SF 330, qualifications-based selection, best-value trade-offs, and IDIQ/MATOC task order competition.
• Strong understanding of tribal and 8(a) strategies, including set-aside and sole-source authority, SDB and HUBZone positioning, mentor-protégé arrangements, joint ventures, workshare, and affiliation rules.
• Demonstrated success in implementing pipeline discipline, CRM adoption, and data governance.
• Executive presence when engaging with agency leaders, boards, owners, and tribal leadership.
• Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time.
• Capable of obtaining and maintaining U.S. Government suitability and working with CUI in a CMMC-controlled environment.
• Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Real ID or Passport for commercial air travel.
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred: experience within a tribally owned or Alaska Native Corporation enterprise or in a multi-entity shared-services environment.
• Preferred: established relationships with federal civilian, DoD, IHS, VA, civil works agencies, or Midwest municipal and transportation clients.
• Preferred: APMP certification (CP/CPP) and Shipley or equivalent capture training.
• Preferred: experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP/CRM systems and data-driven pipeline reporting.
• Preferred: experience integrating a Growth function through acquisitions.
• Remote employees must maintain a wired broadband connection with a minimum of 100 Mbps download / 20 Mbps upload; some roles may require 200–300 Mbps download / 25–35 Mbps upload.
• Cellular hotspot or fixed wireless cellular services cannot be used as a primary connection.
