This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a trusted advisor for CFO clients from Global 1000 companies and government entities.
• Oversee a portfolio of relationships with senior executive members.
• Engage in account planning alongside Senior Client Managers and Senior Account Executives.
• Involve yourself in all phases of the member lifecycle: pre-sale, onboarding, relationship management, delivery, review, and renewal.
• Hold monthly consultations with CFO clients.
• Provide Gartner services, research, and advisory insights.
• Facilitate client workshops and lead CFO activities at the annual Gartner Finance Executive Conference.
• Guide CFO breakout sessions at annual Finance Forums.
• Evaluate member needs and create tailored value plans that align with Gartner Sales strategies and Finance product offerings.
• Assist Federal Government members in enhancing Finance maturity through research, peer networking, and coaching.
• Analyze client strategies and offer guidance on organizational development, Finance strategy, prioritization, and implementation planning.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal teams to ensure sustainable client deliverables.
• Direct and coordinate member peer-group calls and meetings.
• Aid in member retention, prospect cultivation, account-plan development, and value-demonstration initiatives.
• Host and engage in virtual or in-person workshops, analyst interactions, roundtables, and webinars.
• Encourage member participation in research studies and case panels.
• Utilize Gartner research and relay member feedback to the research division.
• Collaborate with research analysts to generate and present CFO-relevant research.
• Partake in presentations, panels, workshops, research communities, local events, and roundtables.
• Foster member engagement through the Sales community portal and facilitate member connections.
• Current or former Federal Government CFO is required.
• Must have served as CFO at a Federal agency.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is necessary.
• An MBA is an advantage.
• Proven expertise in formulating and executing overall Financial strategy, performance improvement, and execution.
• Experience in executive leadership and driving change across all organizational levels.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• In-depth understanding of the Finance Function and the CFO's role.
• Strong grasp of the business value of Finance and Accounting, including alignment of Business and Finance strategies.
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to lead and manage uncertain situations.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a history of working with C-level executives.
• Strong reflective listening skills with the ability to adapt to client cues and requirements.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication proficiency.
• Effective facilitation and presentation skills.
• Sales acumen.
• Teamwork and persuasive influence capabilities.
• Experience or aptitude in sales and/or business development with CXO-level executives.
• Strong time/project management abilities and attention to detail.
• Previous consulting experience is a plus.
• Initial travel will be limited to the US and Canada; virtual work is prioritized with potential travel of up to 25%.
