This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the ultimate decision-maker for all published materials.
• Partner with senior leadership to enhance online presence and content strategy.
• Develop and sustain a wide network of subject-matter experts, writers, policymakers, and other contributors to enhance credibility and output.
• Oversee and direct all editorial staff and content workflows across both digital and print mediums.
• Increase the organization’s capacity for investigative reporting and create long-form feature content.
• Manage the editorial budget in conjunction with relevant internal teams.
• Assist in strategic initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Establish and uphold editorial best practices to guarantee consistently high-quality output across all platforms.
• Strong editorial judgment with the capacity to make high-quality decisions swiftly.
• Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in leading editorial teams and overseeing editorial workflow.
• Bachelor’s degree in journalism or a closely related discipline; advanced degree is a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• At least 7 to 10 years of professional journalism experience.
• **Preferred Qualifications**
• Understanding of purpose-driven organizations and audience or community engagement.
• Demonstrated success in commissioning and editing ambitious investigative and long-form feature pieces.
• Knowledge of modern audience-building techniques and media innovation.
• **Base Salary:** $140,000 to $160,000 based on experience.
