đź“‹ Description

• Formulate and implement the Medical Affairs strategy for one of Kardigan’s clinical assets, ensuring it aligns with Kardigan’s mission to provide value to patients and healthcare providers.

• Act as the Medical Lead and representative on the Global Program Team (GPT) for a clinical asset.

• Direct the Medical Strategy Team (MST) in accordance with the program strategy and supervise the creation and execution of the Medical Strategy Plan (MSP) for a clinical asset.

• Ensure the Medical Affairs team for the asset is fully prepared for launch, driving market readiness and delivering essential scientific insights to support the asset’s transformative potential.

• Build and lead a high-performing Medical Affairs team dedicated to the asset, attracting and nurturing talent while establishing the team as trusted partners and experts in their field.

• Proactively cultivate and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, scientific experts, and advisory groups pertinent to the asset’s indication.

• Oversee the formulation and execution of scientific communication plans, including comprehensive publication strategies for clinical and real-world data, to enhance scientific leadership and support the asset’s commercialization and accessibility.

• Generate, analyze, and convey health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) data to guide clinical development, regulatory, and commercial decision-making.

• Promote effective cross-functional collaboration by partnering closely with Clinical Development, Commercial, Regulatory, and Safety teams to advance the asset’s objectives.

• Provide high-quality medical input into medical, scientific, and promotional materials to ensure accuracy, credibility, and strategic alignment.


⛳️ Requirements

• MD / PharmD with significant expertise in Cardiovascular disease areas (or relevant adjacency).

• At least 10 years of experience in biopharma, including considerable time in a medical leadership role.

• Extensive experience across Cardiovascular indications (or relevant adjacency); prior product launch experience in both new and competitive markets is preferred.

• Experience in leadership roles within both small and large pharmaceutical/biotech companies, including rapidly growing organizations.

• Ability to apply scientific rigor to comprehend and discuss intricate scientific and clinical aspects of disease areas; confident and curious approach to scientific and clinical discussions, both internally and externally.

• Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and codes of practice governing information dissemination to customers within the pharmaceutical sector.

• Proven track record of exceptional leadership of teams during periods of organizational change and growth.

• History of successfully creating and developing Medical Affairs teams through training, coaching, and mentorship that fosters autonomy and self-motivation across all team levels.

• Exhibits a strong patient-centric focus.

• Capable of collaborating across teams and cultivating strong partnerships to ensure trust, cooperation, and solution-oriented alignment.

• Able to articulate, implement, and progress a compelling vision of a successful Medical Affairs team that aligns with Kardigan’s principles.

• Energizes and gains buy-in, catalyzing action both within Kardigan and the broader scientific and medical community.

• Proficient in recruiting, retaining, and nurturing the next generation of top-tier talent, creating an environment where people aspire to work.

• Willing and capable of engaging with teams to provide hands-on coaching and mentorship.

• Motivate and challenge the Medical Affairs team, offering clear guidance and direction while empowering individuals to achieve and own results.
