This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ The Lifecycle Leader (LCL) is tasked with defining the program's cross-functional vision, strategic context, and lifecycle plan (LCP) for both existing and prospective business opportunities.
β’ Collaborating with the Program Manager, the LCL will engage with leadership and subject matter experts (SMEs) to establish effective internal processes that promote best practices in data-driven recommendations, decision-making, and communication.
β’ As the primary accountable individual in a cross-functional team, the LCL guarantees timely delivery and manages the execution plan and milestones, ensuring alignment with the approved LCP.
β’ The LCL supervises integration across Iovance, involving multiple stakeholders to ensure optimal program execution in accordance with the program strategy and LCP.
β’ By working together with functional team leaders, the LCL promotes alignment among various sub-teams to ensure that execution meets both team and corporate objectives (including the Commercial Team, Development Team, Regulatory Team, etc.).
β’ Acting as a point of triage, the LCL facilitates effective decision-making by incorporating cross-functional insights to tackle high-impact issues, co-creating solutions to complex challenges in real time.
β’ The LCL leads the team in identifying program needs and develops a variety of options and recommendations for presentation to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). Transparent communication with senior leadership is ensured, highlighting relevant scenarios, assumptions, and risks to guide decision-making and trade-offs, while representing an enterprise mindset and considering all relevant functional perspectives.
β’ The LCL guarantees the involvement of subject matter experts (SMEs) and situational members in discussions, following a predetermined agenda established with guidance from the Program Manager.
β’ The LCL is accountable to the ELT for program recommendations, framing them within the broader context of the portfolio.
β’ The LCL manages the program on a daily basis, ensuring that all established deliverables with a significant program impact remain on track and aligned with the program strategy.
β’ The LCL is responsible for fostering team health, creating a highly functional environment that encourages collaboration, debate, and honest feedback.
β’ Additional responsibilities include: identifying and mitigating risks; ensuring financial stewardship of approved and recommended projects; communicating key milestones, deliverables, and progress throughout the organization; and ensuring appropriate resourcing of functions to achieve program goals and vision.
β’ A bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline is required; an advanced or professional degree (e.g., PhD, MD, or MBA) is highly desirable.
β’ A minimum of 15 years of experience in the bio-pharmaceutical industry, including at least 5 years in relevant roles as a Lifecycle Leader or Program Team Leader in the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
β’ Must possess a strong understanding of the overall drug development process relevant to biotech/pharmaceutical companies; experience with commercial launches and a comprehensive background in drug development is essential.
β’ Experience working with or as part of program strategy teams is required.
