This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Provide executive leadership to ensure the organization aligns with strategic priorities and that staff effectively focus on delivering programs and resources to meet our strategic objectives.
• Create and execute a fundraising strategy for an annual budget ranging from $600,000 to $850,000.
• Actively engage and inspire CFN Steering Committee members, network stakeholders, Boot Camp alumni, partner organizations, and funders to encourage their participation in and support of the CFN community of practice.
• Lead, coach, develop, and motivate a team of staff members to successfully realize the CFN strategic vision.
• Oversee and guide the staff team in the implementation of the program, which includes all training and network activities.
• Collaborate closely with Multiplier to manage all facets of the budget and actual income and expenditures, ensuring timely financial reporting for funders and the Steering Committee.
• Stay informed about new and innovative land conservation finance techniques, establishing a credible voice on trends and developments in the field, and participating in public forums and speaking opportunities to enhance thought leadership and advance CFN mission objectives.
• Provide regular updates to relevant Multiplier staff, the CFN Steering Committee, and other network partners. Oversee external communications with the broader field through bi-monthly e-newsletters, blog posts, and the dissemination of CFN and partner information resources.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, business, finance, or a related field.
• Master's degree focused on financial solutions for environmental challenges, coupled with at least five years of experience in non-profit program leadership.
• Proven success in securing multi-year six-figure grants.
• Demonstrated experience in executing strategic planning processes.
• Experienced in facilitating high-profile workshops and conferences.
• Proven ability to build and sustain strategic partnerships and engage in relationship-based business development.
• Experience managing a robust industry association or collaboration across public, private, nonprofit, philanthropic, and academic sectors.
• Expert knowledge of current issues and familiarity with leading organizations and practitioners in the field.
• Exceptional interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills, including facilitation abilities.
• Outstanding organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Capacity to exercise sound and independent judgment while maintaining confidentiality as needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, major webinar platforms like Zoom, Teams, and/or Adobe Connect, as well as social media platforms.
• Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
• Strong problem-solving skills, decision-making capabilities, and staff supervision experience.
