This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the AP Content Production function, which is tasked with the design, development, and delivery of all AP curricular, assessment, and instructional publications, ensuring the production of high-quality content that supports AP’s strategic goals.
• Guarantee the successful creation and distribution of Course and Exam Descriptions (CEDs), course frameworks, exam design publications, practice exams, and teacher support materials for new, revised, and updated AP courses, ensuring adherence to assessment validity, instructional quality, and operational timelines.
• Create and uphold stringent production workflows, quality assurance standards, and collaborative processes that ensure the accuracy, accessibility, and scalability of instructional and assessment materials across the AP portfolio.
• Oversee the entire production lifecycle, which includes scoping, development, review, publication, implementation, and launch readiness, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality course assets and teacher support materials.
• Lead the strategic planning and execution of the AP Course Roadmap, ensuring alignment between new and revised course development, production, readiness, and organizational priorities.
• Act as a senior strategic leader and advisor to the department head, proactively identifying risks, trade-offs, and opportunities within the AP portfolio and recommending solutions that further organizational objectives.
• Proven executive leadership experience in driving large-scale, cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution in complex, fast-paced environments with significant operational, production, and stakeholder management responsibilities.
• Demonstrated capability to transform enterprise strategy into actionable roadmaps, operating models, and delivery plans while effectively managing dependencies, competing priorities, and organizational change across diverse teams and functions.
• Extensive expertise in portfolio, program, and production management, including the establishment of governance structures, scalable workflows, accountability mechanisms, and continuous improvement practices that promote operational excellence and high-quality outcomes.
• Strong familiarity with emerging technologies and AI-enabled tools, with the capability to apply them strategically to enhance planning, forecasting, collaboration, and operational effectiveness while modeling responsible and innovative usage across teams.
• Exceptional leadership and talent development skills, with experience in building, managing, and mentoring high-performing teams.
• Experience in leading projects related to digital product delivery, assessment platforms, instructional content production, or other large-scale delivery environments is highly preferred.
• 10-15 years of experience in program management, portfolio management, and/or product development.
• Willingness to travel 6-8 times a year to College Board offices or on behalf of College Board business.
