This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Drive premium growth and enhance market presence for John Hancock’s Executive Benefits solutions throughout the Western US territory.

• Develop and implement a structured business plan concentrating on new distribution relationships, established partnerships, and intricate sales opportunities.

• Meet or surpass premium, pipeline, and territory performance goals.

• Manage and progress the sales pipeline while balancing immediate production with long-term opportunity development.

• Establish, expand, and strengthen relationships with Executive Benefits advisors, firms, and distribution partners.

• Identify, source, and nurture new distribution channels and production opportunities.

• Position COLI, deferred compensation, and Vitality-enabled CSIO offerings.

• Collaborate with advisors on sophisticated solutions for executive retention, wealth accumulation, and supplemental retirement strategies.

• Deliver in-market presentations and provide thought leadership.

• Utilize competitive intelligence and market insights to enhance sales positioning and increase win rates.

• Work in partnership with Advanced Markets, National Accounts, Product, and Underwriting teams.

• Create feedback loops for product development, pricing, and management improvements of in-force policies.

• Ensure compliance of sales activities with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

• Sustain and grow existing distribution-partner business through engagement, service, and value delivery.

• Act as an Executive Benefits subject matter expert and trusted partner representing John Hancock.

• Lead consultative sales discussions and assist in the development and closing of complex cases.

• Manage sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics using CRM tools like Salesforce.

• Share market intelligence, client insights, and best practices across regions.

• Travel within the assigned territory for advisor engagement and business development.

• Manage territory expenses in accordance with budget expectations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

• A minimum of 5+ years in life insurance wholesaling, advanced sales, or Executive Benefits experience, or demonstrated experience in supporting or selling Executive Benefits solutions.

• A proven history of building relationships, advancing complex cases, and achieving sales goals.

• Strong knowledge of accumulation-focused life insurance products such as IUL and VUL and advanced case design (preferred).

• FINRA Series 6 & 63 or Series 7, along with the appropriate state life and health licenses, or the ability to obtain these within required timeframes.

• Experience with carriers, BGAs, or Executive Benefits consulting firms is advantageous.

• A customer-focused approach to delivering customized solutions.

• Business development and sales expertise.

• Skills in consultative selling and strategic thinking.

• Proficiency in relationship management with advisors, firms, and internal stakeholders.

• Capability to utilize CRM tools like Salesforce.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned Western US territory.

• Ability to manage territory expenses in line with budget expectations.
