This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee comprehensive project management for up to two SailGP events in various host cities.
• Maintain project timelines that align with the One Event Plan framework, SailGP governance, stage gates, and schedules.
• Facilitate communication, coordination, and alignment across departments and stakeholders.
• Provide frequent updates on milestones, risks, and operational readiness via the Championship Dashboard.
• Represent SailGP in the market and manage relationships with local stakeholders, fulfilling Host Venue Agreement obligations.
• Organize and document stakeholder meetings while fostering local engagement.
• Align Infrastructure and Operations teams concerning venue design, planning, construction, and dismantling activities.
• Oversee site operations and services, including health and safety, crowd management, catering, ticketing, branding, and accreditation.
• Act as the primary on-site integration point for infrastructure, commercial, fan experience, and operational needs.
• Create and manage event budgets, financial reports, forecasts, budget tracking, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with global procurement, finance, and legal policies.
• Supervise safety plans, risk registers, and emergency management strategies, ensuring alignment with local regulations and internal protocols.
• Lead the permitting and licensing processes while liaising with local authorities.
• Manage documentation for permissions, tracking systems, and briefings.
• Assist the Experience team in providing inclusive fan experiences, ticketing solutions, spectator showcases, and localized content.
• Coordinate event announcements and ticket sales initiatives with regional and global marketing teams.
• Monitor and adjust ticketing and promotional strategies as necessary.
• Support on-site partnership delivery and fulfillment in accordance with commercial goals and contractual obligations.
• Serve as the Head of Event for at least two SailGP events each season.
• Demonstrated experience in large-scale event planning, staging, and operations, ideally within an international or high-performance sporting context.
• Strong leadership abilities, stakeholder management skills, and cross-functional project coordination experience.
• Direct experience managing intricate event budgets with a proven record of commercial accountability.
• Capacity to excel under pressure and navigate complex, fast-paced live event situations.
• Some travel to the London headquarters will be necessary.
