This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Conduct independent research, vetting, contracting, and managing relationships with venues, caterers, beverage suppliers, and A/V technicians.
• Supervise all logistical aspects, including scheduling, transportation, setup/teardown, permitting, and on-site event management.
• Act as the main liaison with the Marketing team to establish registration goals, develop promotional timelines, provide essential event details, and track registration progress.
• Anticipate potential logistical issues, particularly those concerning A/V or internet needs at venues, and formulate contingency plans.
• Entry Level – We are looking for a candidate who has experience organizing engaging events for a developer-focused audience.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects at the same time with competing deadlines and changing priorities.
• A keen interest in technology and the software development community is essential.
• Outstanding organizational skills and a keen eye for detail are essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, comfortable negotiating with vendors and collaborating with technical teams.
• A resourceful, proactive, and composed approach to addressing issues, particularly those involving on-site technical logistics.
• Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Luma, Eventbrite, etc.), project management tools, and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
• Willingness to travel locally or regionally as necessary for site visits and event execution.
