This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +15 more states.
• Strategically plan and implement Kickstarter’s array of brand, creator, category, industry, and community events.
• Convert strategic and creative ideas into detailed event plans, production schedules, budgets, and onsite experiences.
• Collaborate with Brand, Communications, Outreach, Growth, Editorial & Content, and other departments to identify audience, objectives, creative vision, and success metrics.
• Create unique event formats and experiences that are significant to the communities served.
• Manage all aspects of event operations, including venues, vendors, production, staffing, travel, run-of-show, guest experience, risk management, and onsite implementation.
• Identify, negotiate with, and oversee agencies, fabricators, production teams, venues, caterers, and other event collaborators.
• Cultivate and sustain a diverse network of reliable vendors and cultural partners across key markets.
• Oversee event budgets to maximize impact while ensuring high-quality experiences.
• Develop repeatable planning tools, processes, and standards for effective execution across various events.
• Anticipate obstacles, make informed decisions under pressure, and ensure alignment among collaborators.
• Enhance event impact through content, media, social amplification, and engagement post-event.
• Assess event performance and utilize insights to refine future programming and investment strategies.
• Proven experience in producing brand, cultural, community, industry, or experiential events from inception to completion.
• Strong creative intuition and capacity to transform ideas into engaging physical or virtual experiences.
• Outstanding project management, organizational, and budget management capabilities.
• Established connections with high-quality vendors, venues, production partners, and event specialists.
• Ability to oversee multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and deadlines while preserving guest experience and strategic goals.
• Excellent negotiation skills and resourcefulness regarding budgets.
• Composed, solutions-focused approach to the dynamic challenges of live and virtual events.
• Exceptional communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Knowledge of how events contribute to brand development, community enhancement, relationship management, and business growth.
• Passion for Kickstarter’s mission and creative communities.
