This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Oversee and guide the European Works Council, facilitating GEV labor and employee relations strategy by leading initiatives at the European level in support of the CoE’s mission.
• Ensure the alignment and execution of a comprehensive labor relations strategy across various Segments.
• Coordinate and ensure consistency across business units regarding project proposals, information and consultation processes, and the implementation and deployment of changes.
• Create standard procedures for preparing business changes that require engagement in information and consultation.
• Develop Front Line Leadership training for People Leaders and HR to promote best practice guidance on employee engagement, communication, and change management.
• Lead the planning and execution of L&ER projects, which include transformation and restructuring programs, M&A/BD activities, consultations, negotiations, and training programs, ensuring alignment across segments.
• Actively participate as a member of the L&ER COE team with responsibilities for prioritizing actions to support the CoE’s objectives.
• Employ lean tools within our lean culture to advocate for GE Vernova’s transformation.
• Identify and disseminate best practices.
• Assist in governance by maintaining relevant data and metrics.
• Collaborate with HR professionals to propel initiatives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge and experience.
• Proven European experience in managing multiple change projects within a complex organization.
• Experience managing a European Works Council and/or multiple country-level works councils (Group structure or similar).
• Skilled in managing labor relations on a cross-jurisdictional basis to drive consistency, create teams to identify strategic priorities, and deliver meaningful change and support for business operations.
• Significant experience in progressively responsible HR roles, particularly in Labor Relations or Employee Relations within a Production, Maintenance, and/or Services environment.
• Demonstrated capability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced setting, and effectively connect with all organizational levels.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills along with a customer-focused, “team first” mentality.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Process-oriented and detail-focused, with strong organizational and prioritization capabilities.
• Willingness to travel approximately 35% of the time.
