This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Europe.
• Provide leadership and implementation for programs, projects, and initiatives that support GE Vernova’s labor and employee relations strategies, focusing on the priorities of businesses in Europe.
• Oversee and guide the European Works Council.
• Counsel business and HR leadership teams on material preparation, process timing, engagement, and attendance at meetings.
• Collaborate with country Labour Relations to synchronize consultation and engagement efforts.
• Offer advice to the communications teams as necessary.
• Create standardized work related to information, consultation, and negotiation for all Labour relations engagements in Europe, including preparations for wage negotiations and business restructuring.
• Ensure the alignment and implementation of a comprehensive labor relations strategy across all Segments.
• Develop standardized procedures for preparing business changes that require engagement in information and consultation.
• Design Front Line Leadership training for People Leaders and HR to provide best practice guidance on employee engagement, communication, and change management.
• Lead the planning and execution of L&ER projects, ensuring alignment across segments.
• Actively participate as a member of the L&ER COE team, taking responsibility for priorities that support the CoE’s objectives.
• Maintain governance data and metrics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
• Proven experience in Europe managing multiple change projects within a complex organization.
• Experience in managing a European Works Council and/or multiple country-level works councils (Group structure or other).
• Expertise in managing Labour relations across jurisdictions to ensure consistency, build a team for identifying strategic priorities, and facilitate meaningful change and support for business operations.
• Substantial experience with increasing HR responsibilities, particularly in the areas of LR or ER within a Production, Maintenance, and/or Services environment.
• Demonstrated capability to make independent decisions, manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment, and effectively interact at all organizational levels.
• Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building abilities with a customer-focused, “team first” approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to travel approximately 35% or more of the time.
