
EU Spanish Linguist, Translator β Gaming

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.
β’ Translate in-game text, user interface elements, legally relevant documents, and supporting materials in accordance with client guidelines, First Party terminology, tone, and style.
β’ Review and revise translations to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and a natural flow.
β’ Undertake creative translation and localization tasks.
β’ Create, maintain, and update glossaries, style guides, and character profiles.
β’ Adhere to project deadlines and productivity goals within the localization pipeline.
β’ Ensure a consistent tone, voice, and terminology throughout content and game components.
β’ Collaborate with fellow translators to ensure cohesion and logical flow of content.
β’ Identify and address localization issues and test bugs.
β’ Utilize CAT and project management tools such as memoQ, JIRA, and client-specific systems.
β’ Input, monitor, and respond to localization inquiries.
β’ Assist in onboarding new translators.
β’ Support evaluations and updates of candidate tests.
β’ Work closely with clients on daily language-related matters.
β’ Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
β’ Ensure compliance with Security, Confidentiality, Health & Safety, IT, HR, ethical standards, ISO, GDPR, and client confidentiality regulations.
β’ Exceptional proficiency in both Spanish and English.
β’ Strong cultural awareness of Spanish markets.
β’ 1β3 years of experience in translation, localization, or related language services (game localization experience preferred).
β’ Advanced knowledge of CAT tools such as memoQ, Trados, XTM, and client-specific systems.
β’ Familiarity with workflow platforms like JIRA and Plunet.
β’ Excellent linguistic accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong emphasis on consistency.
β’ Ability to effectively manage independent tasks.
β’ Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
β’ Flexibility to adapt to feedback and changing project needs.
β’ Capability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
