This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Translate content visible to users, including system labels, forms, workflows, and communications from English to Canadian French.
• Assist in the French localization of CCIB’s new CRM platform along with future digital systems.
• Take part in the translation and quality assessment of content for a new organizational website.
• Create and uphold terminology guides, glossaries, and standards for translation.
• Evaluate translations for precision, consistency, readability, and cultural appropriateness.
• Test translated materials within systems to confirm that functionality, formatting, and user experience are preserved in both official languages.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and project teams to clarify terminology and context.
• Offer suggestions to enhance bilingual user experiences across various systems and platforms.
• Currently enrolled as a university student in Ontario, focusing on Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, French Studies, or a related discipline.
• In the 4th year of study in Translation, Interpretation, Linguistics, French Studies, or a similar field.
• Possess professional-level written proficiency in French (Canada).
• Strong command of the English language.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a dedication to linguistic accuracy.
• Ability to tailor content for various audiences while preserving meaning and intent.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a remote setting.
• Interest in technology, digital platforms, user experience, and localization.
• Experience in terminology management or content management systems is considered beneficial.
• Available for a flexible internship lasting between 4 to 12 months.
• Must be located anywhere within Ontario.
• Practical experience in translating enterprise systems and digital platforms.
