EU Spanish Linguist, Translator – Full Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Translate in-game text, user interface elements, legally relevant documents, and supplementary materials in accordance with client guidelines, First Party terminology, tone, and style.

• Review and revise translations to ensure linguistic accuracy, consistency, and a natural flow.

• Execute creative translation and localization tasks.

• Create, maintain, and update glossaries, style guides, and character profiles.

• Adhere to project deadlines and productivity goals while ensuring high quality within the localization pipeline.

• Guarantee consistency of tone, voice, and terminology throughout content and game components.

• Work collaboratively with translators to review their work for cohesion and logical content flow.

• Identify and address localization challenges and testing bugs.

• Utilize CAT and project management tools to monitor progress and maintain workflow visibility.

• Handle localization queries in accordance with team workflows.

• Assist in onboarding new translators and provide guidance on language-specific tools and project standards.

• Support the evaluation and updates of candidate tests.

• Collaborate closely with clients on day-to-day language-related matters.

• Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.

• Ensure compliance with company security, confidentiality, health and safety, IT, HR, ethical, and compliance policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in both EU Spanish and English.

• Strong cultural awareness of the EU Spanish market.

• Capable of working on a fixed-term contract as an internal linguist.

• 1–3 years of experience in translation, localization, or related language services (experience in game localization is preferred).

• Solid understanding of CAT tools such as memoQ, Trados, XTM, and client-specific systems.

• Familiarity with workflow platforms like JIRA and Plunet.

• Exceptional linguistic accuracy and attention to detail, with a strong emphasis on consistency.

• Collaborative attitude and ability to manage independent tasks efficiently.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

• Adaptable to feedback and changing project needs.

• Comfortable working under tight deadlines.
