This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain the data storage and integration elements of a critical federal program.

• Ensure that enterprise databases are effectively structured, high-performing, and dependable to achieve data integration goals.

• Create and implement database schemas and functionalities, including intricate SQL queries, stored procedures, and database programming.

• Monitor and enhance database performance through query optimization, indexing, and resource management.

• Conduct database optimization, performance tuning, and configure high-availability solutions to accommodate large data volumes.

• Manage routine maintenance activities such as backups, recovery protocols, and software patching.

• Establish and uphold effective disaster recovery plans and backup policies.

• Apply database security measures, encompassing access management, encryption, and hardening practices.

• Collaborate closely with data engineers and integration developers to ensure that database structures facilitate ETL/ELT processes.

• Verify that database schemas correspond with incoming data feeds and guarantee the seamless operation of interfaces used for data integration.


⛳️ Requirements

• You are a seasoned Database Expert with a robust background in enterprise-level database design and administration.

• You have extensive practical experience with SQL databases as the primary data repository.

• You possess comprehensive knowledge of SQL Server features, including Performance Monitor, Query Analyzer, and related tools.

• You have experience with clustering and replication technologies, such as SQL Server Always On Availability Groups or equivalent solutions.

• You are skilled in database replication, load-balancing, and high-availability architectures.

• You have implemented backup strategies, utilizing native SQL backups or automated solutions, and conducted recovery testing.

• You are knowledgeable about disaster recovery planning and RMF-aligned security protocols.

• You have hands-on experience with data integration and ETL tools.
