Estimator / Quantity Surveyor – Commercial, BuildTrend experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and assess tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.

• Create comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects.

• Perform quantity take-offs and material measurements based on plans and specifications.

• Recognize project risks, exclusions, and cost considerations during the tender review process.

• Aid in the preparation of competitive and precise tender submissions.

• Execute accurate quantity calculations for materials, labor, and subcontractor scopes.

• Assist in budgeting, cost planning, and evaluating project feasibility.

• Oversee and maintain estimating databases and pricing schedules.

• Support variation pricing and cost analysis as needed.

• Source pricing from suppliers and subcontractors using ProcurePro.

• Acquire and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.

• Contribute to procurement planning and cost benchmarking efforts.

• Maintain supplier databases and pricing documentation.

• Prepare and manage estimating records within BuildTrend.

• Ensure that all project documentation is systematically organized and accurately recorded.

• Facilitate process improvements across estimating and procurement workflows.

• Assist with the transition of projects from estimating to delivery teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Cost Planner in commercial construction.

• Extensive experience in conducting material take-offs and quantity calculations.

• Proficient in interpreting architectural, structural, and engineering drawings.

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commercial acumen.

• Capacity to manage multiple tenders and meet deadlines effectively.

• Familiarity with BuildTrend and/or EstimateOne (Desirable).

• Experience in commercial, industrial, or multi-residential projects (Desirable).

• Understanding of Australian construction contracts and tender processes (Desirable).

• Prior experience in supporting procurement and supplier engagement (Desirable).
