Equity Research Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Revise three-statement financial models for earnings reports of publicly traded companies.

• Construct and assist in the evaluation of comprehensive three-statement financial models for publicly traded firms.

• Aid in model enhancements that are specific to sub-sectors and/or applicable across the coverage spectrum.

• Cultivate sector knowledge to assist in establishing modeling standards, developing comparative-analysis dashboards, and introducing new model features.

• Record best practices in modeling.

• Assist Analysts in delivering outstanding client service to users.

• Perform ad-hoc general research and conduct company due diligence.

• Engage in training for new members of the Research Team.

• Contribute to the product roadmap and enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be available to work in the PST timezone.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in equity research, financial modeling, or accounting.

• Proficient financial modeling skills and a solid understanding of the sector.

• Progress towards CFA, CPA, or MBA is preferred.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are essential.

• Proven capability to manage deadlines while delivering precise results.

• Exhibits leadership qualities and/or has experience in training or mentoring colleagues.

• Demonstrated ability to support client service and contribute to team strategy.

• Proven experience in independently constructing and enhancing three-statement financial models.

• Initiative and sector expertise are required.

• Comfortable working in high-pressure environments.
