Equipment Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Assess, choose, and procure suitable, cost-effective machinery for the production of company products.

• Supervise the installation, modification, upgrading, and upkeep of manufacturing equipment.

• Maintain documentation of technical notifications, upgrades, and safety issues from equipment manufacturers.

• Analyze equipment performance and dependability.

• Develop programs and solutions aimed at enhancing uptime and resolving equipment issues that impact manufacturing processes.

• Offer technical assistance to organizations involved in equipment repair and process engineering.

• Create and document preventative maintenance schedules.

• Support junior staff members in their tasks.

• Collaborate with third parties, vendors, or trade clients.

• Organize activities in conjunction with other team members.

• Operate both independently and as part of a team.

• Provide frequent updates to the manager regarding project and account progress.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant experience or qualifications adequate to carry out equipment engineering responsibilities (specific prerequisites are not detailed).

• Capacity to assess, select, order, install, modify, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.

• Proficiency in defining and documenting preventative maintenance schedules.

• Capability to provide technical support to manufacturing equipment repair and process engineering teams.

• Skill in planning activities with team members and delivering regular project/account updates to a manager.
