This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Engage in a diverse range of control system initiatives.
• Take charge of project-related activities and manage complex large-scale projects.
• Offer engineering assistance for projects managed by colleagues.
• Assume full accountability for designated projects and responsibilities.
• Guide, train, and mentor peers during system start-up and commissioning phases.
• Read and analyze piping and instrumentation diagrams along with wiring schematics.
• Give feedback on field conditions in comparison to provided drawings.
• Independently design sophisticated control systems.
• Develop instrumentation specifications and engineer value-driven solutions.
• Lead the comprehensive design of IT systems, network infrastructure, and computer systems relevant to control system integration.
• Independently design distributed Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems.
• Interact with customers and deliver exceptional customer care and support.
• Complete tasks and projects precisely, within deadlines, and on budget.
• Act as the primary customer liaison for assigned projects.
• Recognize scope changes.
• Oversee and delegate assigned responsibilities.
• Estimate task durations and complexities.
• Ensure practical schedules and budgetary guidelines.
• Manage and supervise junior or subordinate staff at project locations when necessary.
• Pursue additional business opportunities through change orders, extra services, and referrals.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional working atmosphere.
• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant technical experience.
• Generally, 7+ years of total experience.
• At least 3 years as a Control Systems Project Engineer I or in a comparable role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams as well as wiring schematics.
• Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) applications.
• Expert knowledge and application of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
• Strong understanding of complex control system design principles.
• Capability to independently design intricate control systems.
• Skill in providing instrumentation specifications for complex control systems.
• Experience in designing IT systems, network infrastructure, and computer systems related to control system integration.
• Ability to independently create distributed HMI systems.
• Proficient in effective and proactive communication with customers.
• Competence in adhering to customer-specific site standards and protocols.
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks.
• Capability to monitor the progress and outcomes of work.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the country where the position is based.
• Must be fit for duty at all times.
• Overnight travel may be necessary, up to 50% of the time.
• Participation in an on-call rotation may be required based on location and client needs.
