This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
• Identify, map, measure, analyze, and enhance routine to moderately complex clinical and business processes, along with the information requirements for designated Epic application(s).
• Conduct analyses of current and future workflows, outlining critical business processes through business process reengineering techniques, industry standards, and best practices.
• Create documentation for business requirements using case diagrams, data flow diagrams, data models, and object models to present, discuss, and evaluate various aspects.
• Assess whether a suggested solution fulfills the business and clinical needs.
• Convert user requirements into functional and technical design specifications, reviewing them with users to ensure precision.
• Prioritize requirements based on business demands, discussing the technological implications of business needs.
• Execute necessary system configuration to align with business requirements.
• Formulate test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the performance of all functions.
• Carry out effective unit, integration, system, and end-user acceptance testing by executing tests, tracking issue reports, and documenting all final results.
• Provide client and support training through the development of training materials, training trainers, and end-user(s) as appropriate to the project.
• Monitor system functionality and clinical and business processes, instituting changes as required.
• Clearly articulate the operation of the assigned application(s) and related systems to users.
• Assist users in utilizing the full functionality of the application(s) and process flow.
• Create and maintain product documentation, including current workflows, requirements, functional specifications, installation instructions, product test procedures, user manuals, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
• Complete all necessary change and quality control documentation in accordance with department standards.
• Communicate project status and updates to clinic users, including any potential delays or downtime associated with application(s).
• Manage numerous requests from various users, balancing priorities effectively.
• Schedule and oversee application version upgrades for assigned applications.
• Serve as a resource for assigned application(s), assisting with support and troubleshooting as necessary, and responding to user calls as required.
• Obtain within 6 months and maintain annual educational requirements for EPIC certification(s) as mandated by the department.
• Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent knowledge) in Computer Science or a related field.
• Typically requires 3 years of experience in an IT or clinical environment, focusing on business process mapping, analysis, defining business and user requirements, acceptance testing, and documentation.
• Proficiency in using applications, operating systems, and databases, including basic hardware, platform, connectivity, and interface design.
• Experience with Epic and other healthcare applications.
• Project management experience with the capability to utilize project management software.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage multiple tasks, demonstrate attention to detail, set priorities, and complete assignments promptly while utilizing excellent customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills, along with proficient problem-solving and issue resolution capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate closely with healthcare application users, vendors, and technical professionals.
• Proven ability to translate user requirements into system specifications, with an understanding of change management practices and procedures.
• Demonstrated comprehension of technical components and their relationships to applications.
