Environmental Project Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Travel to project sites, capturing detailed notes and photographs (2-4 days per week).

• Conduct interviews, analyze governmental database records, and perform reviews of regulatory agency files.

• Examine historical data, including topographic maps, Sanborn fire insurance maps, city directories, and aerial images.

• Draft a standardized report utilizing information from these diverse sources.

• Execute QA/QC to meet the satisfaction of both management and clients, complete requested revisions, and submit reports within established timelines.

• Conduct fieldwork to gather samples of potentially contaminated subsurface media (soil, groundwater, and soil vapor) and/or indoor air, and compare analytical contaminant data to relevant regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• 0-2 years of field experience in conducting environmental due diligence activities.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent work ethic.

• Valid driver's license.

• Capability to use a personal vehicle for travel.

• Ability to perform fieldwork.

• Willingness and ability to travel (75% travel, 25% office work).

• Proficient computer skills.

• Ability to work independently.

• Commitment to delivering excellence.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Knowledge of Phase I Assessments (ASTM E1527).

• Familiarity with Phase II Assessments (ASTM E1903).
