This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee environmental assessment and remediation initiatives.
• Assist in project execution, business development, and personnel management within Ontario and nationwide.
• Collaborate with clients to identify their needs and guide AECOM’s operations.
• Provide leadership to diverse teams on significant projects and ensure successful delivery within budget and schedule.
• Serve as the primary advocate for the client within AECOM and vice versa.
• Create strategic proposals and financial plans for new business opportunities.
• Manage technical risks and offer commercial guidance throughout project execution.
• Aid in the technical development of proposals and take the lead on major project submissions.
• Supervise deliverables while implementing quality and health and safety standards.
• Function as the lead verifier for major projects and programs in accordance with AECOM’s quality assurance procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and ensure that solutions align with client requirements and expectations.
• Direct large and intricate projects, including those with substantial commercial risks.
• Mentor junior staff and promote their technical growth.
• Lead teams of technical specialists and environmental professionals.
• Enforce safety, quality, and ethical policies and practices.
• Ensure the quality of field activities and project outcomes within the AECOM Quality Management System.
• Bachelor’s or Postgraduate Degree in a relevant field such as Geotechnical, Geology, or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the relevant sector.
• Familiarity with contaminated sites in Ontario.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant Ontario regulations and protocols.
• Demonstrated equivalence of experience and/or education may be taken into account.
• Must be registered, or eligible for registration, as a P.Eng. or P.Geo. in Ontario.
• Preferred: 15 years of directly pertinent experience in environmental and remediation sectors.
• Proven experience in servicing industrial and manufacturing clients during project execution.
• Skills in proposal writing, job scoping, and project planning.
• Proficient in client management.
• Willingness to travel to job sites, including remote locations, occasionally.
• Ability to collaborate within a team and adhere to timelines and quality management standards.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective organizational and time management capabilities.
• Flexibility to engage in a variety of projects.
• Capacity to work independently as well as part of a project team.
• Ability to communicate effectively with project teams, clients, site personnel, and management.
