This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Accountable for the global management, standardization, and alignment of the organization's EHS framework within international aviation operations.
• Develop and uphold global EHS policies, procedures, and minimum performance benchmarks.
• Oversee organizational compliance with relevant requirements through governance, performance reporting, and escalation procedures.
• Offer functional oversight, guidance, and standardization assistance to Regional EHS Coordinators/Leads.
• Track regional EHS compliance, performance, and risk trends via established reporting, reviews, and governance protocols.
• Report systemic issues, significant nonconformities, and critical incidents through the designated pathway to the VP of Safety, Quality, and Risk.
• Create, implement, and continuously enhance global EHS policies, standards, and procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, and manage health, safety, and environmental risks related to aviation maintenance.
• Set expectations and oversee EHS incident reporting, investigation coordination, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Deliver comprehensive EHS performance reports, trend analyses, and risk insights to executive leadership and governance committees.
• Bachelor’s degree (EQF Level 6) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; professional certification is preferred (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma/Certificate, IOSH membership TechIOSH/CertIOSH/CMIOSH or equivalent such as CRSP/CSP).
• Knowledge of management system concepts (including connections to ISO 9001) and EHS standards (e.g., ISO 45001/14001) is advantageous.
• At least 10 years of progressive EHS experience in aviation, industrial, or operational settings, including international or multi-site responsibilities.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing global policies and standardized procedures across various regions.
• Strong understanding of EHS regulatory frameworks, risk management, incident investigation, and audit processes.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in matrixed, multicultural settings.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and executive-level reporting skills.
