Environmental Health and Safety Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in China.

📋 Description

• Organize the revision, maintenance, and implementation of the safety management system documents on the installation site according to Calderys Group's EHS management requirements;

• Facilitate and promote compliance with EHS management requirements at the client's installation site during construction;

• Responsible for organizing and coordinating internal and external EHS audits at the group installation site;

• Supervise the implementation of EHS processes and management systems, ensuring timely communication and feedback with responsible departments to guarantee effective practices;

• Oversee the updating and acknowledgment of EHS documents on the installation site; manage standardized documents related to safety, occupational health, and environmental protection on the installation site;

• Input, maintain, report, and update relevant government system information regarding EHS at the installation site, as well as manage the input, maintenance, reporting, and updating of related indicators and group systems;

• Manage and ensure compliance with the three wastes (sanitation, waste water, and waste gas) on the installation site;

• Conduct daily safety inspections at the installation site, document hazards, and track their resolution; assist with internal safety checks and audits, and monitor corrective actions. Manage safety for onsite contractors;

• Assist the project manager in identifying, assessing, and reporting potential "environmental, health, and safety" risks at the installation site, while promoting proactive risk management and improvements for the project;

• Implement systematic training on environmental health and safety at the installation site;

• Organize and facilitate safety production management meetings at the installation site;

• Participate in all related projects according to the company’s continuous improvement requirements and complete corresponding tasks as planned;

• Execute other tasks assigned by leadership;


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in safety management, safety engineering, environmental science, environmental engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as an EHS engineer in a foreign enterprise.

• Possession of a Construction Safety Certification (C Class, C2 or C3), with a registered safety engineer certification being preferable (in construction safety or metal smelting safety).

• Experience working in a multinational manufacturing foreign enterprise (experience in the refractory materials or chemical industry in a similar role is preferred).
