This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage environmental compliance initiatives across various facilities, ensuring conformity with all relevant federal, state, local, and provincial regulations.

• Lead the preparation, submission, and renewal processes for environmental permits related to air, water, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, and similar areas.

• Ensure all necessary EHS permits are current, precise, and upheld for operational compliance.

• Oversee and provide technical expertise on environmental systems, including wastewater treatment operations and modifications.

• Review and approve environmental engineering designs, consultant reports, and capital projects that may affect compliance.

• Maintain and update environmental prevention and management plans (such as SPCC, SWPPP, Wastewater O&M).

• Develop, implement, and sustain environmental management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).

• Monitor and evaluate environmental performance metrics, including waste, water, emissions, and energy use.

• Advance sustainability initiatives focused on waste reduction, water conservation, emissions reduction, and packaging enhancements.

• Support efforts to reduce carbon footprints and enhance ESG reporting (Scope 1–3 emissions, GHG tracking).

• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and supply chain teams to elevate environmental performance.

• Conduct environmental audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

• Ensure timely and precise regulatory reporting.

• Investigate environmental incidents and execute corrective actions.

• Act as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies and external auditors.

• Educate employees on environmental compliance obligations and best practices.

• Work in partnership with EHS, engineering, and plant leadership to integrate environmental standards into operations.

• Provide technical guidance for new product introductions, process modifications, and capital projects.


⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes (e.g., EPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, RCRA).

• Technical proficiency in environmental systems, encompassing wastewater, air emissions, stormwater, and hazardous materials management.

• Familiarity with environmental compliance programs, audits, inspections, and regulatory reporting.

• Knowledge of environmental prevention and management plans (e.g., SPCC, SWPPP, Wastewater O&M).

• Capability to interpret and apply intricate regulations across various facilities and jurisdictions.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation capabilities.

• Project management skills with the capacity to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities, including technical reporting skills.

• Capacity to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders within a manufacturing context.

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in environmental engineering in a manufacturing setting.
