This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Idaho.
• Conduct research on the utilization and capacity planning of existing technologies to prepare for future growth.
• Work collaboratively with other IT teams to execute a Proof of Concept for promising solutions.
• Analyze and design clear and effective technical solutions for projects related to infrastructure and enterprise applications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on infrastructure and architectural matters.
• Assist in developing and implementing corporate information system policies and procedures.
• Stay informed about Infrastructure Operations, Data Center Operations, Virtualization (including Server, Network, Storage, Desktop, and Application); attend conferences, engage with vendors, and keep abreast of technology trends.
• Analyze, diagnose, and provide guidance on issues potentially caused by server-side applications, server operating systems, and networking problems.
• Recognized as an expert in multiple core enterprise systems and capable of effectively training peers.
• Provide after-hours support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• A four-year college or university degree in Information Technology or a minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in hardware or software installation and support is required.
• Engage in and support capacity planning and the establishment of long-term strategic goals for systems and software in collaboration with end-users, third-party vendors, and department managers.
• Involved in planning upgrades/releases of Linux and Windows operating systems and related software to minimize user impact.
• Research and recommend innovative, automated solutions for system administration tasks and integration with other enterprise-level business applications.
• Investigate emerging technologies, products, languages, and standards to support procurement and development initiatives.
• Participate in the design, planning, implementation, and coordination of all activities required for the successful integration of new solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to interview end-users for insights on functionality, interface, issues, and usability challenges.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry practices and HIPAA regulations is advantageous.
• Familiarity with applicable data privacy practices and laws.
• Availability for on-call support.
• Some travel may be necessary.
