This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create a focused portfolio of enterprise accounts from the ground up by identifying, prioritizing, and cultivating a book of business.
• Identify, pitch, negotiate, and finalize new opportunities with enterprise clients.
• Design customized technology, marketing, and management consulting solutions to tackle intricate business challenges.
• Collaborate with Client Partners to enhance and broaden strategic customer relationships.
• Adjust transactional and consultative sales strategies according to account maturity and complexity.
• Work alongside SDRs, pre-sales experts, delivery teams, and cross-functional stakeholders on sales initiatives.
• Aim to grow the portfolio towards $1M in annual gross sales in the first year and a $5M book within years 2–3.
• Develop portfolio strategies and account plans in partnership with the Portfolio Leader.
• Engage with clients, present Toptal’s capabilities, and pinpoint opportunities within territory plans.
• Conduct research and outreach through various channels to reveal new business opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and assist clients in engaging Toptal engineering, design, and business specialists.
• Provide management with guidance on policies, procedures, and both short- and long-term business objectives.
• Foster active client relationships, advocates, and sponsors.
• Counsel clients on leveraging Toptal’s talent network to build distributed teams and enhance efficiency.
• Mentor new team members while continuously expanding the account portfolio.
• A bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• Significant experience in engaging and selling Consulting or Managed Services solutions, especially in Financial Services or Professional Services sectors.
• Demonstrated full-cycle sales success for large, intricate, multi-phase managed technology projects targeting enterprise clients with $2B+ annual revenue.
• Comprehensive understanding of emerging technologies.
• Capability to discuss software delivery and development concepts with potential clients.
• Proficiency in creating and implementing territory plans that promote portfolio growth and maintain a healthy pipeline.
• Proven ability in prospecting, conducting virtual sales meetings, and leading multidisciplinary sales efforts.
• Experience in negotiating complex service agreements with enterprise procurement and legal teams.
• Willingness and capacity to travel regularly or occasionally to meet clients, up to 25% of the time.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving company while managing diverse challenges, deadlines, and contacts.
• A top-tier individual contributor capable of working autonomously.
• Consistent attendance at scheduled virtual team meetings on camera.
• Proficiency in using necessary digital collaboration tools.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workflows and deadlines independently.
