This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take charge of outbound prospecting, averaging approximately 100 cold calls per day, targeting enterprise commercial construction contractors with annual construction volumes exceeding $75 million — identifying suitable accounts, mapping key contacts, and engaging them with insightful perspectives rather than scripted pitches.
• Generate a qualified pipeline for Account Executives by scheduling high-conviction discovery meetings with buyers facing genuine, specific challenges that Kojo can address.
• Leverage the complete modern go-to-market stack, utilizing AI-driven sequencing, enrichment workflows, and call intelligence tools to prospect intelligently and uncover valuable signals, rather than merely increasing volume.
• Create, test, and refine outbound strategies: analyzing which messaging resonates, which does not, and the reasons behind the outcomes — then share these insights with the sales and marketing teams to enhance Kojo’s market approach.
• Meet and surpass monthly goals for meetings conducted and Sales-accepted opportunities — treating your pipeline metrics as business objectives rather than mere task lists.
• Become a true expert in commercial construction: understanding the key players, buying dynamics, pain points, and recognizing when a contractor acknowledges a problem that needs resolution.
• You have experience making over 50 cold calls daily in a previous SDR or BDR position.
• You have created or significantly improved outbound sequences that have outperformed standard templates, with the ability to articulate why those modifications were effective.
• You possess strong discovery instincts: distinguishing between questions that reveal pain points and those that merely fulfill a checklist.
• You have received constructive feedback, acted on it within days rather than weeks, and observed positive changes in your performance metrics.
• You have quickly adapted to a complex product or unfamiliar industry, establishing yourself as a credible and knowledgeable authority in that area.
• Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the construction or specialty trades sector.
• This role is eligible for a new hire equity grant.
