
Enterprise Sales Account Director – State & Local Government

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.
• Manage an enterprise sales territory with a focus on state and local government clients.
• Create strategies for targeted named accounts and tactical penetration plans.
• Build and sustain relationships at the “C” and “VP” levels within the specified target accounts.
• Formulate compelling value propositions grounded in cost/benefit analysis for return on investment.
• Successfully navigate the sales process by identifying potential business opportunities, evaluating their fit, and closing new deals.
• Achieve annual revenue goals for software licenses and services.
• Collaborate with pre-sales and professional services teams.
• Contribute innovative ideas and engage in marketing events.
• Deliver accurate and timely sales forecasts.
• Cultivate, maintain, and enhance third-party relationships.
• Proven sales history with Tier 1 and Tier 2 government clients (5-10 years of experience).
• Knowledge of the public sector industry, particularly regarding digital customer experiences.
• Familiarity with the competitive landscape in the information systems market.
• Capability to work with prospects to comprehend their business needs and value models.
• Ability to swiftly adapt and effectively communicate value propositions.
• Skill in working cross-functionally and collaboratively to mobilize the right resources at the appropriate phase of the sales process.
• Experience and success in selling high-value, long lead-time enterprise software solutions (valued at $500K and above).
• Exceptional skills in new business development and a proven record of meeting sales quotas.
• Exhibits a resourceful and proactive mindset; takes initiative to connect with prospects creatively; assumes full responsibility for personal success with minimal assistance until prospects are qualified; demonstrates tenacity and a strong drive for achievement.
• Strong competencies in communication, presentation, negotiation, organization, and attention to detail.
• Proficient networking abilities; capable of developing and leveraging relationships with senior industry leaders and key influencers.
• High level of comfort and presence when engaging with senior government executives.
• A successful history of selling to various levels within organizations, including business, technical, IT personnel, and C-level executives.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
