Enterprise Business Development Representative

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct prospecting activities targeting enterprise and mid-market sectors in retail, ecommerce, luxury, fashion, beauty, jewelry, footwear, home, and lifestyle brands.

• Create focused account and contact lists utilizing CRM systems, sales intelligence tools, event directories, LinkedIn, company websites, and other sanctioned research resources.

• Interact with senior executives and functional leaders via phone, email, LinkedIn, and outreach at events.

• Schedule qualified meetings and discovery conversations for Account Executives.

• Collaborate with Account Executives to prioritize target accounts, tailor messaging, and implement account-based outbound strategies.

• Assist with outreach before and after events for trade shows, executive dinners, webinars, and regional marketing campaigns.

• Investigate target accounts to gain insights into their business model, retail footprint, ecommerce presence, customer engagement levels, and relevant buying triggers.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of prospect, account, activity, and meeting information in CRM and sales engagement systems.

• Employ messaging, call scripts, and value propositions that resonate with leaders in retail and ecommerce.

• Engage multiple stakeholders across digital, ecommerce, stores, clienteling, customer experience, marketing, CRM, loyalty, and operations to create multi-threaded connections within accounts.

• Work alongside Revenue Operations to enhance data quality, outreach workflows, reporting, and campaign effectiveness.

• Relay market insights to Sales and Marketing regarding account signals, objections, competitor references, and messaging performance.

• Regularly meet or surpass targets for activity, connections, scheduled meetings, and qualified pipeline creation.


⛳️ Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of experience in business development, sales development, inside sales, outbound sales, or account development, ideally within the B2B SaaS sector.

• Proven track record in prospecting mid-market or enterprise accounts.

• Extensive outbound experience utilizing phone, email, LinkedIn, and multi-touch sales sequences.

• Experience in engaging with director, VP, and C-level stakeholders.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, personalized, and relevant business outreach.

• Strong phone presence and comfort with making cold calls to senior executives.

• Capability to research accounts and convert insights into effective outreach.

• Solid understanding of pipeline generation, qualification, account prioritization, and transitioning to Account Executives.

• Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Salesloft, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms is preferred.

• High attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean CRM records.

• Ability to handle a high-volume outbound workflow while ensuring personalization and quality are not compromised.

• Traits of coachability, resilience, curiosity, and a strong desire for performance improvement.

• Capacity to work autonomously in a remote setting, while remaining closely aligned with the overall sales team.
