Enterprise AI Data Strategist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee Unanet’s internal data strategy and architecture in support of its AI transformation.

• Establish a unified data foundation along with a practical roadmap for AI initiatives.

• Evaluate the existing data landscape and identify gaps, owners, dependencies, and desired outcomes.

• Utilize priority AI projects to test the architecture and create reusable methodologies.

• Determine the organization, connectivity, security, and accessibility of internal data for AI tools, agents, and workflows.

• Set standards for data access, permissions, integration, compatibility, and reusability.

• Develop consistent methods to ensure reliable context for AI solutions and facilitate safe interactions with source systems.

• Assess data platforms and integration alternatives based on business requirements, security, costs, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with technical teams and system owners to implement, validate, and test architectural decisions.

• Define requirements for data quality, metadata, source-of-truth, ownership, and stewardship.

• Implement governance, privacy, and risk management processes for AI data in collaboration with Legal, Security, IT, and business stakeholders.

• Evaluate the readiness of AI data and identify requirements for scaling solutions.

• Coordinate efforts among business owners, AI developers, technical experts, security partners, and system specialists.

• Facilitate business-driven experimentation and link successful initiatives to the shared architecture.

• Provide guidance to senior leaders and key stakeholders on AI data priorities, trade-offs, and investments.

• Foster alignment across functions and lead initiatives involving systems managed by other teams.

• Within the first 90 days, evaluate Unanet’s internal data environment, outline an initial target architecture and prioritized implementation strategy, test it through priority initiatives, and establish decision-making pathways with IT, Cloud Operations, Engineering, Security, Finance, GTM Systems, and functional data owners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive expertise in designing data and knowledge infrastructures for enterprise AI utilizing both structured and unstructured data.

• Strong comprehension of how AI assistants, agents, and workflows leverage enterprise data, including aspects such as retrieval, grounding, context, identity, metadata, and permissions.

• Practical experience with cloud data platforms, integration, data modeling, data quality, governance, lineage, freshness, and monitoring.

• Capability to design secure and reliable methods for AI systems to access and, when necessary, update source systems.

• Proficiency in navigating between strategy, architecture, and technical specifics while maintaining a focus on business needs.

• Judicious understanding of what to standardize, simplify, and prioritize.

• Ability to influence senior leaders and key stakeholders across various functions without direct authority.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts in layman's terms.

• A practical, collaborative approach to problem-solving in a dynamic environment.
