This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +4 more states.
• Oversees one or multiple significant US Army accounts.
• Comprehends the customer's IT and business goals, priorities, requirements, and challenges, while enhancing value by executing HPE’s strategy.
• Drives business performance across all HPE Business Units and manages the portfolio mix to maximize account profitability.
• Responsible for building a robust pipeline; plays a key role in deal closure and orchestrating the deal team.
• Cultivates and nurtures essential customer relationship networks with key influencers and decision-makers in both IT and business sectors.
• Develops and collaborates with the extended partner ecosystem to enhance HPE’s visibility within the account.
• Serves as the customer's advocate within HPE.
• Strategizes for accounts to achieve results throughout the financial year and beyond.
• Proactively leads initial engagements and is accountable for securing deal closures.
• Over 5 years of experience in account management.
• More than 5 years of military experience with the US Army or experience selling to this customer.
• At least 5 years of experience in big data, hybrid IT, IT services, digital business, information security, AI, and intelligent edge is preferred.
• Demonstrated track record of managing and surpassing quotas in sales roles, with a strong emphasis on managing current accounts while also generating and developing new business.
• Experience in the IT industry.
• Background as an IT leader, within an IT department, or in customer-facing roles is advantageous.
• Active Government Security clearance is preferred; must be eligible for Security Clearance if not already obtained.
• Familiarity with Federal funding and contracting processes.
• A university or bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent experience.
• A background in engineering or technology, along with an advanced degree or MBA, is desirable.
