This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Report to an Area Sales Manager and manage a diverse portfolio of businesses, encompassing new prospects and the expansion of existing accounts across the CIS region.
• Oversee the entire sales cycle for prospects, from initial discovery and solution alignment to negotiation and closing.
• Assist prospects by effectively communicating GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it with customer business outcomes.
• Evaluate successes and failures, participate in root cause analyses, and share insights with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
• Document and maintain precise buying criteria, buying processes, next steps, and responsible parties to ensure a dependable, evidence-based pipeline.
• Contribute to enhancing our sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Offer account leadership and guidance throughout pre- and post-sales, collaborating closely with technical teams and customer success.
• Serve as the voice of the customer by providing product feedback and suggestions to our public issue tracker.
• Demonstrated success in software sales, preferably in a mid-market or enterprise setting, managing a diverse portfolio of business accounts.
• Ability to navigate customers through the complete buying journey, including establishing buying criteria, outlining buying processes, and facilitating clear next steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management.
• Experience in documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans based on factual evidence rather than assumptions.
• Proficiency in conducting and contributing to win/loss and root cause analyses, sharing insights to enhance team performance and processes.
• Skilled in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to secure opportunities.
• Interest in GitLab, open source software, and preferably familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management.
• Alignment with GitLab's values, an eagerness to contribute from diverse or transferable sales backgrounds, and readiness to travel according to company policy.
• Fluency in both Russian and English.
