This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.
• Report to an Area Sales Manager while managing a diverse portfolio of businesses, ranging from new prospects to the expansion of existing accounts throughout the CIS region.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle for prospects, encompassing discovery, solution alignment, negotiation, and closure.
• Assist prospects by effectively communicating GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it with customer business objectives.
• Evaluate wins and losses, participate in root cause analyses, and share insights with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
• Accurately document and maintain buying criteria, purchasing processes, next steps, and responsible parties to ensure a dependable, evidence-based pipeline.
• Aid in enhancing our sales handbook and processes by recording best practices and identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership and guidance for accounts across pre- and post-sales, collaborating closely with technical teams and customer success.
• Amplify the customer's voice by contributing product feedback and suggestions to our public issue tracker.
• Demonstrated success in software sales, preferably within a mid-market or enterprise environment, managing a diverse book of business.
• Capability to guide customers through the entire purchasing journey, including establishing buying criteria, outlining purchasing processes, and facilitating clear next steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management.
• Experience in documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans grounded in evidence rather than assumptions.
• Proficiency in conducting and contributing to win/loss and root cause analyses, sharing insights to enhance team performance and processes.
• Expertise in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to finalize opportunities.
• Interest in GitLab, open source software, and preferably familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management.
• Alignment with GitLab's values, an eagerness to contribute from diverse or transferable sales backgrounds, and a willingness to travel in accordance with company policy.
• Fluency in both Russian and English.
