This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Report to an Area Sales Manager while managing a diverse portfolio of businesses, including new prospects and the growth of existing accounts in the CIS region.
• Oversee the complete sales cycle for potential clients, from initial discovery and aligning solutions to negotiation and closing deals.
• Assist prospects by effectively communicating GitLab's DevSecOps value proposition and aligning it with customer business objectives.
• Analyze successes and failures, contribute to root cause analyses, and share insights with account managers, marketing, and technical teams.
• Document and maintain precise buying criteria, processes, next steps, and responsibilities to ensure a trustworthy, evidence-based pipeline.
• Help enhance our sales handbook and processes by documenting best practices and identifying areas for improvement.
• Provide leadership and guidance for accounts throughout pre- and post-sales phases, collaborating closely with technical teams and customer success.
• Act as the customer advocate by offering product feedback and suggestions to our public issue tracker.
• Demonstrated success in software sales, preferably within a mid-market or enterprise environment, managing a diverse portfolio.
• Ability to navigate customers through the entire buying journey, including defining buying criteria, outlining buying processes, and facilitating clear next steps.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business development, marketing, technical teams, and sales management.
• Experience in documenting and maintaining accurate pipeline data and account plans based on factual evidence rather than assumptions.
• Capability to conduct and contribute to win/loss and root cause analyses, sharing insights to enhance team performance and processes.
• Expertise in negotiation, presenting to customer stakeholders, and leading commercial discussions to successfully close opportunities.
• Interest in GitLab, open-source software, and ideally familiarity with Git, software development tools, or application lifecycle management.
• Alignment with GitLab's values, a desire to contribute from diverse or transferable sales backgrounds, and a willingness to travel in accordance with company policy.
• Proficiency in both Russian and English.
